Parenting Classes
Court-mandated Parenting Skills Classes are offered throughout the year in eight-week sessions and taught by a licensed Rainbow House therapist. Classes focus on healthy discipline and stress management for parents and utilizes the "Making Parenting A Pleasure" training curriculum, which addresses the following topics: child development education, stress and anger control skills, creative discipline and communication, effective reactions to challenging behaviors, locating community resources, and development of parent/child bond.
Strengthening Families Workshop is a parenting class to learn how to strengthen your family. Both parents and children come to Rainbow House and meet for a series of 7 workshops. In this workshop, attendees learn how to show love while setting limits, create house rules, learn to make "I" statements, work on privilege and reward programs, manage stress and more.
Parenting with love and limits parenting class empowers parents to care for defiant and aggressive teens while reestablishing authority and reclaiming respect.
Resource lending library for parents and professionals that includes books and videos on an array of topics in the area of child maltreatment.
